This section gives examples of strategies driven both by the health sector and sectors outside of health which are working to address the Social Determinants of Health Inequalities.
This is a discussion of how a Social Determinants of Health Inequalities approach is understood, and being implemented at the government level. Each country has its own distinct set of policies and structures that address the SDHI. Some countries, for example, have policies that involve the collaboration of different Ministries at the national and regional level. This cooperation can either be led through a whole government approach, or by one specific Ministry. This section looks at how Denmark is addressing the SDHI through a whole government approach, or an overarching framework of policies at the national level.
An explanation of how the health sector, or the Ministry of Health, is working to address the social determinants of health inequalities in Denmark.
Ministries/sectors other than the health sector (such as education, finance, or welfare departments) are addressing the social determinants of health inequalities in their policies and strategies.
This section points to the key documents and publications that provide the research and background motivation for addresssing social determinants of health inequalities and/or the particular policies/strategies themselves.
